Sticky Pod & Indy Car!

Recently I received the following email from Matt Barker, a Sticky Pod Director customer:

"I used your Sticky Pod system on an Indy car on the St. Petersburg GP road course. Most of the INDY officials were skeptical that your system would stay on an INDY car @ speed. I knew It would do fine. I stuck it on the car and the footage turned out great, and most importantly it held our $35,000 camera on and kept it from damaging a $600,000 race car."

Sticky Pod 6 Year Anniversary

May 28, 2009 - Where does the time go? It sure flies when you're having fun! Many of you, over 3,000 customers, own Sticky Pods that are over 5 years old. While your suction cups are designed to last this long, you may find them to be a little stiff. To remedy this problem and get your suction cups back to like new working condition, do this:

1. Fill your sink with the hottest tap water you have (please don't boil any water).
2. Add a degreasing dish soap (Dawn, Ajax, etc...)
3. Throw in your Sticky Pod, base plate and all
4. Let it soak for a good 30+ minutes
5. Wash suction cups with a dish cloth

The hot water opens up the rubber and pulls out the grease and contaminents that cause the suction cups to harden. When you're done, they should be clean and just like new again. Repeat if necessary.
